Or maybe have a cup of coffee that has been provided by the Seniors for people enjoying the market. The market is held around the gazebo and provides and enjoyable setting for people to shop, listen to music, and meet their friends. The T-33A was the first Jet trainer the U.S. Air Force had. This air craft was donated by the U.S. Air Force and the Washington Air National Guard. It once flew over the Columbia Basin and was under the guidance of the 637th Aircraft Control and Warning Squadron, 25th Air Division and the North American Air Defense Command Network. The Radar Station was located 7 miles south of Othello on "Radar Hill". The Squadron was formed in May 1947 at Larson A.F.B. and moved to Othello in September 1951. The base was decommissioned and closed in March 1974. |
T-33A Plaque - This plaque was presented by Tommie and Wilma Tindell, September 1996 and was "Dedicated to all of the Men & Women who have served this country for the cause of freedom".
