 The Othello Senior Citizens Organization, a non-profit association operates & supervises Farmer's Market in the east half of Pioneer Park, situated at 4th Avenue and Main Street!  This is open Saturdays 7:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m., June through October. The Market is full of hand made, home made, gathered and harvested fruits and vegetables, in accordance with applicable state law and regulation. Registration fee is $15, then $10 each day thereafter. Further information can be obtained from the Othello Senior Organization at 488-5700.
Pioneer Park:

Gazebo @ Pioneer Park - The beautiful gazebo in Pioneer Park serves many purposes, some of which are providing another shady place to sit for a while andgazebo @ Pioneer Park.JPG (105537 bytes) enjoy the surroundings. Or maybe have a cup of coffee that has been provided by the Seniors for people enjoying the market. The market is held around the gazebo and provides and enjoyable setting for people to shop, listen to music, and meet their friends. The gazebo is available for family picnics, weddings, and special events and can be reserved through City Hall.

T-33A Jet - One of the many other features in Pioneer Park is the T33 Jet. The T-33A was the first Jet trainerT 33 jet.JPG (138379 bytes) the U.S. Air Force had. This air craft was donated by the U.S. Air Force and the Washington Air National Guard. It once flew over the Columbia Basin and was under the guidance of the 637th Aircraft Control and Warning Squadron, 25th Air Division and the North American Air Defense Command Network. The Radar Station was located 7 miles south of Othello on "Radar Hill". The Squadron was formed in May 1947 at Larson A.F.B. and moved to Othello in September 1951. The base was decommissioned and closed in March 1974.
