Potholes State Park
The State Parks in Washington State encompass over 125 parks. Included as one of those parks is the "Potholes State Park", which derives its name from geologic formations that are shallow depressions created during the Pleistocene flooding of this area that are now lakes. The construction of O'Sullivan Dam created the reservoir that forms one boundary of the park. The park also features natural sandy beaches and a multitude of family recreational activities including boating, camping, fishing, hiking, picnicking and playgrounds.
